Identidad/Identity: Zine Dominicano de Arte Queer/Cuir y Trans | Queer/Cuir and Trans Dominican Art

This project is born as an artistic and editorial space dedicated to exploring the cuir/queer dominican identity from multiple perspectives. It gathers diverse voices, bodies and gazes that, through culture, visual arts, poetry, photography and critical reflection, are looking to question normative narrations and to open paths to collective memory.

This zine is thought to be a platform to make visible the different dissident voices, a lot of them sometimes marginalized from artistic professional spaces and traditional publishing. Here, the creation is just not understood as an aesthetic action, but also as political, communal and resistance practice.
